I worry

The one thing I worry about is the amount of exposure she gets. I often do for any child that is thrown into the spotlight like singers and actresses, but even more so for Jazz because she has become a spokesperson and representative for a whole community. That's quite a responsibility for anybody, nonetheless a child. I know she has this TLC show coming up and the Clean and Clear ad campaigns and I hope she isn't being given too much.

She still needs to be a kid and not be given so much responsibility. I don't know her parents or her 'real' life situation so maybe she is up to task and the family is keeping everything even keel for her. It is nice that we have someone to point to and say "this, this is what we are." But I would hate to do that at the expense of another person's joy and freedom.

I too have those worries,

Teresa L.'s picture

how many child/teen stars get so messed up, but i think in her circumstances she has her head on a little straighter than those others, and with the newer laws that dont allow a lot of what has happened in the past, she has some protections.

i just hope that part of her deal covers her medical care at adulthood, or they put enough to cover it away so she will be "whole/correct" at adulthood.

Trans Teen Jazz

Every time I see pictures of her or any videos of her, the only thing I see is a girl. A girl and nothing else. She is a sweet and beautiful young lady, and I wish her all the best.

Wishing her the best but

I hated seeing the really ugly comments posted on the youtube videos.

What's wrong with these people. If they really believe their mythology about gods who are all powerful and never make mistakes then they should acknowledge that their god must have made this girl the way she is for a reason.

It wouldn't help....

Even if they conceded that the Almighty made this girl the way she is for a reason, they'd simply say that it's a challenge she was given to "overcome." (Read: "resist and pray for a cure.")
