So I got back home, after days of traffic jams (bloody C Y C L I S T S - we even got caught up in the tangled web of closed and opened streets due to the end of the Tour of Britain !!!!) and getting a virus on the computer from a CD of photos that some a..h... had given my elderly recently-widowed aunt, and I unpacked all the goodies into the fridge (British sausage, bacon, and just a hint or two of individual pork pies, along with some Cheddar!!!!).

All well and good, and all the comforts of home, and a reasonable night's sleep for a change.

So the sun is shining, it is a warm morning, and the rays of the sun clearly indicate that it is beyond time to clean the windows.

So an easy 5 minute job, right?

N O !!!!!!

First have to roll the carpet back to prevent dirty water drips on it. Then find an old towel to put down in place of the carpet to keep dirty water drips off the wood.

To do that, have to move back the little tables that the orchids, Christmas cactus, the Zamioculcas zamiifolia, the unidentified one that I have been trying to kill off by neglect for the past six years, the ..... oh you get the picture .... and so on.

So the plants have to be removed first.

So I put them on the dining table.

Oh No! Bad mistake. Di was going to use that surface for cutting out a dress pattern.

So I have to carry the plants into the other room. So there were just a few little dirt drops on the hallway carpet.

Then I need a quick 'bathroom' visit that turned into something a little more than originally planned.

* whistle and chat amongst yourselves for a little while *

Then I came out of the WC.

To find the plants all put back in their 'places' because they '... MUST have sun while they can get it."

The appropriate expletive here is "Sh1t."
