OK, I'm trying to get on X-Chat because it has the option of making a sound when someone posts, which the web based chat server does not. A serious omission.
I like to walk away from the computer when I'm on chat to do other things, then respond when there is something to respond to. Right now we have a small list of people on the chat site but nothing is happening.
So how do I configure X-Chat to get on this chat room?
Under networks click the add
Under networks click the add button.
Name it whatever you want to name it.
Highlight it and click edit.
Hightlight the default server listed and click edit.
Type in or copy and paste Ellesmera2.DE.EU.CyberBrats.Org/6667
Click close
Highlight the connection and click the connect button.
You should be prompted for the room. After the # in the join a room type in mainroom and click okay.
You should now be in the mainroom.
