How come ...
How come Britain doesn't have an 'Independence Day' I reckon we Brits should find out what day the last Romans left and call that independence day cos it's the last time a defeated superpower left these shores for whatever reasons.
We've been invaded a few times after that but we haven't yet gained independence from the Saxons, the Merceans, the Danes, the Vikings or the Normans.
It's not fair. We Brits want a national day.
Anyway, have a good holiday you Quebecer, Canadians, French and Americans.
