I was supposed to have a date today. I met a girl online and we have chatted and text for a few weeks. I was really looking forward to this date since I do not date much and she is a very attractive lady. I really liked her. Then Friday morning after I got home from work she sent me a text message saying that she could not go on the date, and that she had a boyfriend. Talk about a kick to the head. I text her back and told her that yes I was hurt by that and that I had been really looking forward to our date. Then I told her that Her new boyfriend should treat her well since she just passed on being with someone who would have treated her like a queen.
later she text me back saying that that now things dont seem right. The guy lives to far away, he's rushing things, wants to commit to quickly. Then she asks if I want to still go out.

I text her back saying that I AM NOT A YO YO. That I will not keep going back and forth. I said to her, you break off our date, tell me that you have a boyfriend and then you still want to go out. I told her that I'm not interested in games. I wanted something serious and she blew it.
She text me back asking why I have to be so mean.
She broke my heart. She can go to hell.
I can live with out sex. I want it, but I can live with out it. I just need contact. I just want someone to be there that I can touch and hold. Just to hold and know that someone cares about me. I feel like I'm starving to death without that contact. Maybe I should just buy a big teddy bear.

String you along, expect you to be there for her when she needs something, then tell you to get lost the rest of the time. Its funny-sad how they seem so hurt when you object to that treatment. Those types love to lay the guilt trip on others, never feeling any of their own...

20 years ago a girl I was interested in suddenly told me there was another guy, and she was going out on a date with him. I did something similar to what you did, and said if you're happier with him fine, I just want you to be happy. I later heard from a third party that she really did like me more, but that she wanted me to "prove" myself by vying for her affections. Had I pushed for her to continue to go out with me, she might still be with me today.
Her sudden turn-around might mean that she realizes you're better because you WON'T fight if it makes her happy. If you still want to try, tell her how hurt you were by what she did, and that you MIGHT take her back, but only if it's monogamous, and the moment another guy shows up you're gone.

As far as I'm concerned, she made a choice. She chose someone else. and after she pushed to go out. She made the choice now she has to live with it. We have been talking for a while and this was to be our first time going out. she wants to play games, fine. She can play them with someone else.
