Well me again with another non TG type Bloggy thing, But to put it simply I just found this cool in a learn n grow type sense. Young kiddie with a dream and a bit of get up n go. I don't know the car at all but that don't matter. I guess you could insert the equivalent semi cool little thing from your local neck of the neighbourhood. But Fiero schmero this is just a cool story of a 12 yo girl going for something and not caring all that much that it aint super girly. Makes me smile that's fer sure.

the fiero was bad for
repairs, but it's one of those cars that are highly sought after because they make a perfect kit car platform and usually end up looking like a Lamborghini
Just a cool Kid
12 year girl? She hopefully will not take it out for a spin until she can do so legally
May Your Light Forever Shine
Awesome :D
It's always awesome to see something so empowering as this. I know a lot of the time we have the TG tropes in stories, but even in real life there is no cookie cutter build for a girl or a boy. Nothing wrong with girly girls though, or boyly boys. Just make sure not to cut out those girls and boys who aren't so girly or so boyly. Doesn't make them any less awesome, they're still awesome and that's how it should be :D
I know who I am, I am me, and I like me ^^

she's actually now 14, and
she's actually now 14, and has done and learned a lot about cars sin the 2 years since she began.
i found a link somewhere 6 months ago and have been following her progress on Pennocks Fiero Forum where her tale was first documented by her father 2 years ago, she was shown the forum 6 months or so later, and has been a source of motivation and assistance for her, with people all over the USA helping with advice, parts and funds.
Her reasons were valid and the fact she has stuck with it is great, so few kids today would do it, preferring to be given a car when they turn 16 (or 18 in australia).
if you read the forum, you'll find that before the 1st year ended she was considering a beater car for driving to school, because whe was worried that her Fiero might be to nice to park in a school parking lot, i laughed my head off, as i often tell people who join our car club with one car, oh you'll soon have several, one is never enough.
go girl.
I have seen this featured on
I have seen this featured on Hackaday.com some time back and... I admire both her and her parents.
She Won't Have To Roar
The Fiero will do it for her.
Nice not only to see a kid with stickwithitness, but the support she got from all over,
Joanne
Not that I'm an expert or anything?
...about the subject matter of the blog? Don't all Fieros come with trannys?
