I am Bob Arnold's Niece...it has been almost a year since he has been gone and it seems like only yesterday i was getting advice from him about my laptop....he would be so upset with me right now for being off the computer for all most a year but it was so hard for me to even get on and look at anything he did or helped with. I am still healing and I am getting better....I thought I would just drop in here and let everyone know that the family is glad that his site is still up and going and that ppl still know and speak of him. Everyone on here has made the healing easier....I got on here today and started reading the warm words you all wrote when he passed away....thank you everyone for keeping him alive as much as possible and now that I can look and read some of the stuff that i found on external hard drives that he was saving his writtings too i hope that i will be able to post some of the stuff that he never got the time to post.......again thank you everyone his memory lives on and he is missed by all.....RIP Bob Arnold aka Uncle Bobby........you are missed and loved

Thank you for being so kind as to stop by here and share with us his memory. I didn't personally know him, but I recently read some of his stories and I suspect he put a lot of himself into them. From what I've read about Bob and by Bob, I would have liked to have known him. It would really be nice to read some of his unpublished work in the future. Thanks again for stopping by. (Hugs) Taarpa

It is hard to believe it has been a year already. I am sending hugs your way. Bob will always have a special place in our hearts. As I have said before, he was one of the most patient people I ever knew, especially with all of us less Tech savvy people in addition to being a wonderful friend to us all. I loved the adventures he would take us on through the exploits of Jen Stevens. She is by far one of the most beloved characters ever created on Stardust and Big Closet. Thank you for letting us know how you're doing. I am there with you in spirit as you continue to work through your grief.

I just wanted to add ...
... that your uncle is a very special person and that ...
even though he was passed on (in my belief), his spirit is looking after all of us, most especially his family. Remember to keep his memory alive ... think of him, and perhaps build a small mental shrine to him. In that shrine put those wonderful thoughts there ... how he made you feel, what he did for you, how he shined ... the list can be endless. Just remember ... it is your way of being close to his spirit. In the process of doing so you will continue to heal, and mend the raw emotional pain you experience.
I am doing this for one of my best friends who died years ago ... and while it is a bitter/sweet moment it does bring soothing to my soul.

Has it been a year already? Wow...
Bob was just amazing, really an amazing guy who did so much for people. His work on the Whateley stuff (where I knew him) was tremendous. He seemed to work really hard and tirelessly to keep our site ticking along, updating things, hunting bugs and the like. I don't think that Whateley would have grown the way it did without Bob. He helped create a lovely playground for muses to play by ensuring that they had an outlet.
And that was just the least little part of him...
Bob will be truly missed.

In my humble opinion,
the entire scene of TG fiction would have had so much less impact than it does. Bob worked tirelessly to keep sites going, post stories, answer questions and be a close friend to many here. He IS missed, and always will be remembered for his tireless dedication to fiction and writing.
Your uncle was a special, special person, and I envy your closeness with him. God Bless and keep you Bob.
