I get a lot of comments about the faith morality of Odyssey. I obviously support Christianity, but I do not believe it is exclusive, the only way to God. It is man who tries to limit access to God, not God.
True Christianity is the Golden Rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Everything else is clutter. Faith is belief in God, a one on one relationship. Faith is God reaching out to us. For me Christianity is a good fit. THe problem with Christianity is religion. Religion is MAN making rules to limit God. Religion is the work of Satan to corrupt faith.
I've been teaching the confirmation class in my church for the last 5 years. I teach FAITH and condemn religion. I feel I teach what Jesus really said, not what man wanted to hear. Jesus said
(New International Version) "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." A childs faith and belief is true, honest and heart felt. They have not been corrupted by the world. Our faith must be simple. There is nothing complicated about faith. Religion is nothing but complications. The problem with many so-called Christians is they are so religious they lose sight of their faith.
I believe God, in whatever form you can accept, as the creater, is big enough for all faiths of goodness, including Wicca. God knows whats in our soul and understands how religion can be a major stumbling block. Be a good person to the earth and all in it. That is what God wants. I don't think he really cares how we do it.

Jesus also said I am THE way, THE truth, and THE life. No one comes to the father but by me.
My belief is that God is in charge and we have to play by his rules. It is the foolishness of man to tell the all powerful what He can and cannot do.

I respect your belief but...
I have studied the Scriptures and like many Biblical scholars, believe God's inspired words to us were recorded. The issue is were they recorded accurately? Of the 4 gospels, only John was written by someone who actually knew Jesus... 50 odd years before. It was written when John was in his 80s. While I believe the message is accurate, the details are another matter. I remember JFK's assination. Now, 50 years later, I can recount the event, but the details... fuzzy.
The bible is God's inspired word as heard and recorded by humans. Whatever we hear and experience is interpreted and remembered by our life experiences. I take what is recorded in the Bible as pointing to God's will which is to Love God with all your heart and soul and to love one and other. That is it. Even Jesus told us that is it. All too often humans use religion to make rules for God. We must get to the simple truth.
God created everything, including all beliefs in a Master Power/God that meet the simple two fold requirement. God knows human minds are different and unique and that what is right for one may not be right for others. The multiple beliefs are God's loving way to reach all the good people.
Personnaly, I believe Jesus is the way... not The Way, it IS the best and simplist way to God.
