I would like to post Rebecca Anderson's story 'Wild Horses' here. I had a lot to do with its gestation as editor and self-appointed writer's arse kicker, but my contribution was minor. I think this is a great story that deserves another airing to a new audience. It's very long (120k words) so it may be better posted in several chapters, but I'd be happy with one if it doesn't overload the system.
The problem I have is linking a title page to the body of the text via something called 'outlines'. I'm not totally ignorant technically (I've written my share of non-PC software as mainly a hardware engineer (retd) ) but the self publishing software is causing me to scratch my head.
Obviously, Rebecca A is a new author here and I'm the submitter. How does Becky's name get on the credits at the top?
If I create a title page with a little preamble how do I link it to the story either as one big lump or as (say) half a dozen parts?
I'm sure it's easy once I know how but ...
thanks
Geoff

I add the Author names to the pull-down menu after someone posts something as New Author, usually within a day. Or I can do it ahead of time if someone asks. I usually make the Title Pages, too after Chapter 2 or 3 has been posted. Linking to Title pages is pretty simple once one is created just by using the |outline| tab at the top of each story. :) Just keep story chapter numbering consistent.
I'll add Rebecca to the author menu now.

Erin

Thanks, Erin
I'll have a go at posting a title page and the first of 8 parts. It'll be a while to do the whole thing as I'm re-reading the story to remind myself of what happens in each part so that I can add a little pre-amble to each one.
btw I noticed you'd commented on the story at Crystal's site last year. I haven't been in touch with Becky for several years, but I know she had SRS and was doing some mainstream writing. She ran a blog for a while, but that's disappeared now. We had quite a close relationship for a couple of years as I bullied her into finishing what became 'Wild Horses'. I have no idea where she is now or even if she ever checks out any of the TG fiction sites.
