Well, he certainly has a personality.....:-)
You can say that again!
Certainly not hesitant to offer an opinion either on his bike or off. One of the things I admire about him is that after a win he always thanks his team and rewards their efforts by giving 100% himself - a worthy winner. As someone who admires the endurance riders, especially climbers and testers, rather than sprinters I still admire him.

Meh
I was so pleased to see Keri-Anne Payne take second and Rebecca Adlington take third. Oh wait, there were no women on the shortlist despite a clutch of female medal winners and world champions...
While I intend no disrespect towards the winner, given he could only be chosen to win from the nominees present and did have a good year, the whole process needs revamping. I checked the list of publications who nominate from the BBC website and found those legendary publications 'Nuts' and 'Zoo' on the list who both failed to nominate a female candidate in their ten nominees. While I hadn't heard of these august publications - though had a bad feeling from their names - a quick google search confirmed my fears from the amount of cleavage on display on their home pages.
Congrats to Mr Cavendish for his achievements and win but I'm very disappointed in the BBC. Good on Miranda Hart for calling them on it.
"Just once I want my life to be like an 80's movie, preferably one with a really awesome musical number for no apparent reason. But no, no, John Hughes did not direct my life."
"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
Well done, Cav
An' I didn't vote a zillion times, honest. (I actually forgot it was on).
