Maybe somewhere down the road, public prejudices will be "cured" if all transgender youth and adults came out of the closet. The problem with society is politics. Here in the states the first amendment of the U.S. Constitution says, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, nor prohibiting the free exercise thereof. ..."

But our federal and state legislatutes get around that by kneeling to the pressures of the fanatical religious right. Christians don't judge others, nor do Christians hate others either. Yet, these religious fanatics call themselves Christians. Even Jesus said that there would be false prophets coming in His name, and that is what these religious right fanatics are; false prophets. This is not a judgement but a factual observation.

What needs to be done, and you can all make excuses not to do it, but we all need to write our federal and state elected representatives and tell them to start changing the laws for the people instead of the select groups of relligious fanatics. It is time WE THE PEOPLE took back the laws that are supposed to be for us, for our protection, and it is about time that the public take away the iron fisted clout of the police. The police are only the sworn arm of the law, sworn to uphold it, not dispense it. That is up to a judge after the person is found guilty or loses a civil tort.'

How much longer do we as a community have to put up with this degradation of name calling, being beaten, and even killed? It is time we were recognized as human beings.

Shows like Law & Order, CIS, NCIS show only the rights violations that police perpetrate on suspects. When a suspects lawyer says the interview is over, you better believe the interview is over. In real life after an attorney says the interview is over, the police do not berate the suspoect further like on these police drama shows.
