Just some thoughts on this.

First I have another story in the making. A male US Army Captain because of his background is being asked to volunteer for an unusual assignment. To infilitrate a Yakuza family in order to bring it down. My main character taking the place of a Saiko-Komon or Senior Advisor to this particular Yakuza. One that is like a financial advisor.

You can safely guess the Saiko-Komon is female.

The motive for the switch is several recent murders of US military personnel in Japan that can be traced back to this particular part of the Yakuza based out of Yokohama.

My main character does make the switch and takes her place. The mission which is dangerous to start, soon has complications and events happen that the Captain and the Army weren't anticipating.

Anyway, as with most all of my stories, I put alot of detail in. Locations for what I'm calling 'Duty, Honor, Country' include Kansas, Maryland, Washington State, Japan of course and Iraq. Research on Japan, Yakuza, flight schedules, Army installations, Helicopters, fishing, airports, and God knows what else will be done or has been done already.

Unusual, when it comes to my writing, is that 'Duty, Honor, Country,' is not set in any particular TG story universe. The transformation is very slightly based on another author's work. I'll give that author the dedication, though my process is totally my own creation.

I'm probably going to post the story in parts, maybe as soon as the beginning of next week. This isn't a serial like in cliffhanging endings. When I feel the story is at a good point to make a part, I'll do it.

BC makes it easy to do this, I see so many stories posted in parts here. I've tried avoiding this in the past. For one, I sometimes go back and alter scenes in the beginning if I get a late brainstorm while writing a story. That's the main drawback to doing parts. A reader could say I was being inconsistent or contradictory.

I think I'll take my chances with 'Duty, Honor, Country'.
