Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to France we go.

Sadly, it's not permanent yet, but we're not ruling that out for March of next year - maybe sooner if we can. Still we ARE going to do it, never mind how long it takes.

This time, we have the last bits of the flat's decorating and stuff to do so that we can hand the keys over to the letting agent for letting on our behalf. That way, hopefully, it will look after the cost of running the house.

Having said that, we don't know whether the work that was supposed to have been done, has been done and if it has, what kind of job they've done; more to the point, how much making good is there to do and can we do it all in less than a week?

So many questions and until tomorrow, not an answer to be had. What we do know is that it's a 4am start tomorrow morning, which neither of us are looking forward to.

I'd like to see it becoming a bestseller and who wouldn't like to see their first novel or novella hitting the big time, but being honest, if I sell one copy, I'll be a happy man. Dropping my one little story into the Amazon pond is somewhat akin to dropping a single microbe into the Atlantic with the expectations that others will find it.

It may sound pessimistic, but I call it realism.

Any-who, I'll be back in circulation from the fifth or sixth of Sept and fingers crossed, with good news to share - for anyone who gives a ...

Have a good week, peeps and see you soon,

Nick
