Ok..... So this is the first time I have posted here.(I have been around TG sites ever since I fiq out why I was diff. used to hang out with all the other girls in P.P. with auntie June a lonnnnnnng time ago) So not sure where this is going :P . anyways I put that I play online games in my sig , I notice a few others also play . So my question is what game to you play and what type of Character do you play and why? ok for me DDO (Dungeons and Dragons online) I love my Rogue Types with the ranger/rogue/monk spash and a pure rogue as my fav's. WoW (world of warcraft) I just started playing a warrior tank . Kinda fun big change from DDO .
ok as for why. I think with my Rogue's I get to play the person that I am or as close to me as I can , WoW on the other hand started playing a tank because of trying to learn something new and no one seems to want to play a tank there (tank is the person that will go in first and try to get the agro so the healer really only has to heal the tank while the others ie dps beat on said bad guy). My very first toon (Character) in wow was a Rogue though :P. Used to also play DnD PnP (dungeons and Dragons pen and paper).

I play COH and my favorite character type is Blaster. Why? Because a well-designed Blaster is the best character type to solo up to high level. If you can't kill it, you can almost always get away. And usually I'm playing because I want to throw fire and destruction at something, not because I want to talk and cooperate with anyone. :)
If I'm playing in a group, I like to play Defender because keeping everyone alive is very rewarding to me. A group with a real good Tank is a pleasure to work with.
I like to play in oddly put-together groups though. Like 7 tanks and a controller. Nothing out there does enough damage to kill 7 tanks before getting stomped and the controller made sure no bad guys got away. :) Or 7 blasters and a defender. Try seven mass area effect blasts at once to whittle down your enemies fast, and a defender to get everyone back in shape quickly. :)

I can't help it...
... but every character I play is a healer of some form. Even my stalker has branched out into Medicine pool, and it's surprisingly effective having a stealthed healer as the Medicine powers don't break stealth. If everyone else dies, you sneak off, teleport bodies to you, and start rez'ing. Usually I play Masterminds (more work managing stupid AI's but kind of fun) or Defenders, usually with Dark Miasma (sucks energy from enemies to heal self & allies). I have a severe case of Alt-itis, like my stories - experimenting, having fun, then throwing away when I get bored and moving on. :-) My first character was a Mind/Empathy Controller called "Mindbird" before I started reading Whateley.

I normally played a Ranger/rouge or a warrior class of some sort (I forget the name, it's been a while.) The comp I had my chara's on has since died on my due to a broken motherboard, but I salvaged the hard drive. What server do you play on and what's your handle? Once I get that hard drive a new home, I'll go looking for ya.
P.s. The gender I play as depends on what gender has the best looks for a given class. Mages: female. Barbarians: Male, sometimes a halfling female, just for giggles. Rangers I've always though of as male and the rouges/thieves thati plav are usually female.

My game is
Runes of Magic Online, featuring a two-class system, and recently with possibility of getting a third (aka primary-secondary-reserve classes, with builds and tactics depending on the combinations). I have faithfully led my Rogue/Mage through many trials, from being a powerful class in the base game, to becoming a sub-par class in the later expansions, to suddenly skyrocketing with the most recent expansion, with all my fellow Rogues. For those interested, my build is a Mage Assassin, capable of covert operations, silencing his opponents, dispelling any enchantments, and being the only class build actually capable of stunlocking an opponent - at least NPC ones. My alt is a fledging healer, namely Druid/Warrior, though not trained much.

P.S. When I say mage assassin I really mean it - the class combo is the best one when you want to kill the enemy healer during the castle siege and wreak havoc behind the enemy lines.
