Hiya everyone! I've been trying to create an audio-book version of my story, Shoes. I've been using a program called Record Producer by Voyetra. I've got the whole story recorded in .rpp format, but for some reason, the program won't save it as a .wav or any other format most people can use. Is there anyone out there who knows how to turn convert my recording into something a bit more useful?

Can you burn it to a CD?
Hi Heather,
If the program will let you burn it to an audio cd, you could then RIP the cd back onto your computer as WAV or MP3 files just like any other CD.
Huggles!!

I'm out of touch...
...but It seems that file type is proprietry and not readily transferable. If you have it as a standard audio file or other you might be ok. But for use outside that program I think you're in trouble. I don't know that particular one, but you might be interested to know a google search on .rpp format brings up Big Closet and your blog at No. 43. ... so it's not all that common. Sorry, maybe someone has a brilliant suggestion.

Exporting your production
Heather,
You need the Deluxe version of Record Producer to be able to export your file into a standard wave file. The standard version of Record Producer won't export into any of the standard audio formats like wav or mp3. You might want to consider a free audio editing program like Audacity as a better solution.
