RIP Elisabeth Sladen
The BBC have a press release on their Doctor Who site.
Newsround (the BBC's children's news service) have plenty of tributes and obituaries - there are also a few articles / tributes on the main news site (together with over 600 reader responses).
Even an online webcomic have paid tribute (awwww!).
The British comedian / singer Mitch Benn is preparing to release Doctor Who Girl as a single in tribute - but unlike this fan video (which features several clips of Lis) his video will comprise fan art / animations.
There are 10 kinds of people in the world - those who understand binary and those who don't...
As the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body, then only left-handers are in their right mind!
Sarah Jane Smith (Dr. Who)
Yes, she was a Companion http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Sarah_Jane_Smith of the Doctor and the only Companion to make the switch over to the newer adventures of the Doctor and starred in the Sarah Jane Adventures http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sarah_Jane_Adventures http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/2011/04/20/2011-04-...

Alas...
...yet another dear soul with whom I struggled in my gender confusion...Did I want to marry her or be her? May she rest in blissful peace!

Well
She was one of the best companions that Doctor Who has had - I can imagine the funeral now with how many Doctor Who People she knew will be there.
It is loss to all and shows that older generation can still do good work in there field
Poor K-9!
I don't know much about Ms. Sladen but I liked her character, and I'm fairly sure the woman
behind Sarah Jane was every bit as nice, even if she didn't save the Earth quite so often.
And I know her valiant little robo-dog will miss her terribly. Rest in Peace, nice lady...

65 isn't even that old by the usual standards. Poor girl. = (
For the fact fans: The Daleks, The Cybermen, The Sontarans and the Ice Warriors... Many consider these four to be Dr Who's "top four recurring monsters", ...and Sarah Jane Smith is the ONLY companion so far to have faced all four of them.
This is proving to be quite a year for former Dr Who team deaths. Only about a month ago I heard of Nicholas Courtney's passing...
favorite dr who companion, our 'Alice'
She did not take things too seriously about sci-fi and brought everyman's attitude into a bewildering scientific world, she was our Alice in a way.
