To a large portion of the population. Read almost any blog where conservatives post and anything gender variant comes up. These righteous people will gladly tell you what is wrong with you. It is not good enough to live their own lives but they must tell everyone else how to lives theirs as well. Take American Idol for instance, there are editorials on Steven Tyler's wardrobe. His preference for womens blouses, his jewelry. They are not even giving him wiggle room for being an artist. He openly cross dresses, he wears his daughters and his girlfriends clothing, he does it in public. They are crying about the acceptance of cross-dressing is sending a message to their children (ever notice it is always about the children yet nobody ever asks the children?)that gender variant behavior is acceptable. I'm guessing they prefer teen suicides.
