Well. Here we are again. My Birthday. Under normal circumstances, I don't get presents on my Birthday any more. I've grown accustomed to that. This year, however, I get a BIG present from the courts. On Monday the 18th, the final court decree becomes final, and my name change is legal. All I have to do after that is go through my life of documentation and change everything. LOL!
I'm also in the midst of my 7th year here at Top Shelf/Big Closet. Wow! How time flies when you're not paying attention, huh? It's been quite a ride so far, and I'm looking forward to many more years, together here with my Family Of Choice.

I Just happened to look. Both of us have been here for, Six Years Twenty-three weeks. There must have been some weird space-time continuum event that brought us here the same week.

Happy Birthday and congrats on the name change. I've had my name change done since Jan of 2010 so I know what you mean about changing tons of documentation, but also know the Joy of having the name I always should have had.
It is also so nice to be able to face myself and the world everyday as the girl/woman I should have been since birth. As of this May it will be 2 yrs full time, and some of the best, most happiest years of my life.
Not sure about you but I am accepted and supported by what family I have left and so far to best of my knowledge have not lost one old friend and made several great new ones.
Just a reader rather than a writer but I consider the authors and readers here at BC family and a place to call home.
