The pen, um the bra is mighter than the sword?
Jeese and I though tampons, sanitary knapkins, popscile sticks were bad.
Does this mean those skip bombs the British designed to take out the Rhur dams could have done the same, more easily with crates full of bras, DD and larger being more effective I suppose.
I thought the finger in the dike - The Little Dutch Boy -- stopped a flood in Holland?

Well at least the Roto Rooter...
Your comment about the skip bombs reminds me of the story, probably apocryphal, of Winston Churchill and the condoms. Condoms were utilized in WWII to cover the muzzles of rifles when troops were making an amphibious landing, but the standard prophylactics were lacking in the proper dimensions. Because the rubber used to make condoms was a critical war supply, it was necessary to get the Prime Minister's approval before a run of special, extra-large condoms could be produced. After consideration, Churchill gave his permission with one stipulation - all the packaging had to be labeled small, just in case they fell into enemy hands.

Winston
I understand there is a book of Sir Winston Churchill's remarks, my favourite was when he went to visit a factory. He was under the influence and one woman made the fatal mistake of pointing it out.
"Sir, you're drunk." she said, to which he replied:
"Yes and you're ugly, but I shall be sober in the morning."
It's got nothing to do with the bra or anything other than an aside from what Scott posted.
Hope the bra survived

Still confused
What is so funny about somebody saying they panicked when confronted by their mom. Is this some kind of inside joke? None of the comments make any sense otherwise. Would somebody please explain?

Okay Karen here is the low down. There is a link to a BBC story about a bra and panties stopping up the Lu and causing untold mayhem. The Link to the BBC story is

To spoil the punch line you're in the bathroom admiring your new 'purchases and Mom comes home. What do you do? Why you flush them of course! That causes the sewer line to rupture and Well ....?
Somehow you must not be catching the link to the BBC story!

Links should be in blue instead of black
And if you mouse over them, they should show up underlined. If that doesn't happen, Karen, please message me to tell me what browser and OS you're using.

Didn't look
Sorry, when I read a post, I don't "mouse over" them, I keep the pointer over on the scroll bar on the right side.
The other forums I read underline a link, I just figured the person posting had chosen a blue font. When somebody posts a link, I'd have throught they'd say something like "link to story here", alerting the reader that there was an embedded link.
Silly me.

Does it work?
When you said you went back and you still didn't see a link, I assumed you had looked for it. :)
All the links in sidebars, posts and comments work the same way; they're in bright/dark blue and they have an underline when you mouse them. I don't make an underline all the time just so people can bury a link in text without it making the type look too odd, blue is the key signal to look for a link.
Hugs,
Erin
