Some of you may remember that the 1998 Eurovision Song Contest (that's a television Spectacular where the TV companies in each country in Europe (and also neighbours like Turkey, Israel and so on) select a totally crap song and then all 32 or whatever have a 'gala' night to select a winner) was won by the Israeli entry, a song called 'Diva' sung by a performer called 'Dana International'. To be of relevance here on this site, it will come as no surprise that she is an MtF Transsexual.
Well, recently someone sent me a PowerPoint slide show of photos you don't see that often, entitled "It could only be in .....".
The Israeli entry in this list was:

Israel, the land of the holy?
Wow, that photo is quite surprising!!!! I spent a week there in 2001 and found it pretty bland, but perhaps there are places in Tel-Aviv where a party goer could get away with it. I had missed the rifle at first. LOL Neither seem to be carrying clothing to change into, after. LOL
Our tour guide was a retired member of Mosad, or said so, and I had no reason to doubt him. He seemed quite neutral on religious/political matters. I was in a group of Christian Missionaries, but I had the feeling he'd been just as comfortable with Uni Students or perhaps even Muslims?
We were cautioned to wear very conservative clothing, and some of the girls seemed to feel quite set upon having to put huge scarves over their minis. LOL
One of my roomates is a Jewish Princess,and Athiest and she says that most people in Israel are not even religious? Go figure.
