You know the saying "When it rains, it pours? That sums up my week . First, the battery died in my car on Tuesday, then today, my AC adapter goes shot on my computer and then if that wasn't enough, my dog went to the vet with a yeast infection in his ears. It seems like things always happen like this at this time of the year. My sister paid the vet bill, but the car battery and AC adapter are not in my budget at all for the moment. I wish I had a fairy Godmother with a used Toshiba adaptor and a car battery laying around somewhere.( Fat chance of that one! LOL) The computer guy charged me $50 for one when I bought it last year. It wasn't a Toshiba brand but it worked just fine. The cord that connected from the adapter box to the computer AC jack was way thinner than the Toshiba adapter that originally came with it. My computer is a Toshiba with a 17 inch screen so it takes a little heavier wattage than one for the 15 inch screen. I'm certainly hoping 2011 is a lot better than 2010. I need something to go right sometime. It just has to. Sorry to vent, but it has just been one of those weeks and days!

Toshiba Power Supply
I can't help with the car battery, but maybe this will help for the laptop. If you have an ebay account go there. For grins I searched for "Toshiba Laptop Power Supply" and got over 3500 listings, if you listed the model number you could narrow it down a bit. The thing is, prices on a lot of the 3rd party power supplies started at .99 cents with shipping running from 6 to 10 dollars. The most expensive one I saw (will admit I only glanced) was $17 with free shipping, so you should be able to pick one up for under $10. I had to get one for my Lenovo last year and it's actually heavier duty than the original.

But my toby has a busted screen and makes a great doorstop since the HDD died. Worked for a couple years as a desktop till the drive went south... What model Toshiba did you need the adaptor for? As for the Battery, PM me, I work at NAPA and might be able to do an interstore transfer...

I may have one from a customer's dead toshiba. Either that, or you can give the model number (the S number on the bottom) and I'll look it up from there.
I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.
