Time differences...
If I can remember at 11:30pm GMT I'll tune in. It certainly sounds as though your celebrations are slightly grander than the Christmas lights switch-ons in my local area...
Celebrations over here are well attended, but as you can see from my videos of the events in Coventry, Warwick and Kenilworth, they're probably not as grand as your local event.
(So what if I'm plugging my own YT channel? <grin> - heck, while I'm at it, I'll plug my photo gallery which contains photos of the lights in the three towns - Cov in particular looks a little depressed).
