Terri found herself wandering her mind-scape once again. This time she had big paws covering her hands and giant paw-shaped slippers on her feet. The rest of her body was covered in soft fur which she could tell was a suit, meaning her symbiont was there with her this time.

"How did I get here this time?" she asked herself out loud.

"It's because you overexerted yourself and the headache caused you to pass out," came her own voice from behind her.

She spun around to see a plush leather chair and the sickened doppelganger that was Lexi's mother sitting calmly sitting in another facing her.

"I thought I beat you," Terri said.

The doppelganger smiled, lifted up her stump and motioned to the chair in front of her. "We need to talk, have a seat."

Terri crossed the distance in a flash, her paw-gloves off and her fingers encircling the other woman's neck.

"I'll squeeze the smile right off your face!" She growled.

Two hands reached up and gently lifted Terri's arms back away from their owner's neck.

She continued to smile as she backed Terri into the other chair and slowly guided the stunned girl into sitting down.

"Like I said," the now near perfect copy of Terri began, her hand restored and her body looking as fit and healthy as Terri's own, "We need to talk..."

Now you can see why I have been so wanting to get past that last chapter, to the point of just pounding something presentable out? I had this wonderful epiphany and this sprang up from it.

Enjoy.
