So why do I feel three days older than dirt? I'm so frustrated right now with the VA, with life, with damn near everything actually. I won't go into any of that in this blog, since you all have your own problems to deal with. Remember that BUTTON story that Grover posted? If that damned button was right here, right now, I'd jump all over that thing... in a freaking heartbeat, and have NO regrets about it after!
Anyway, I hope everyone else has a great day. I gotta go get shots and blood work and deal with the VA pension thingie, and prepare for hernia surgery sometime later this month.

Happy birthday. The trick I have to keep telling myself is not dwell on everything that's screwed up (most of my life) but to look at what is going okay or even doing well. The fact you've made it this far speaks reams, dear.
Keep plugging, you sound like a survivor. And as many here already know, the button would not cure everything. At best it would only help you have a better attitude about the problems.

I remember my 63rd birthday well and as you write we all have our problems, but for me that is four years away by now so I have decided to let that be a small part of my life, and now I celebrate my birthdays wih happines again and I wish you the same. A good day for starting the rest of our lives.

63rd? My Dad had his 83rd last month
and is currently driving around Germany France, Spain and Portugal for a month BY HIMSELF with his arthritis, an artifcal lens in each eyeball and a cow valve in place of his aortic valve.
Says he feels busier since retirement. We had to get a waiver from the EPA to light the candles on his cake.
