Today I went to professional author Wen Spencers Blog located at http://wen-spencer.livejournal.com/69789.html to look for an article about how to go about getting your writing published. Her Blog has some really good information, because she detailed her own struggle. Todays entry was good for it talked about her and her husband playing on-line games. The funny part was Wen was playing a male character and her husband playing a female. People was making the mistake that he really was female and he couldn't convince them otherwise! A case of virtual TG? LOL!
Wen has written the Alien Taste series as well as Tinker a science-magic book and both are quiet good!

Wen Spencer
Hi Grover,
good books all, the sequel to "Tinker", "Wolf who rules" is also a good read.
Easily my favourite book by her is "A Brothers Price" I love the way she explores a world where men are rare and precious commodities. The story has a wicked take on nurture and gender roles.
Thanks for the link,
Christine.
RPGs and Gender
I, after reading and posting the blog about Wen Spencer and her husbands experiences playing on-line RPG talked to some of my Holiday guests. They too often play different gendered characters from their own in on-line while interacting with others. The embarrassment they feel when others mistake them of really being a different gender than in Real-Life. I started wondering if maybe, just maybe, this was a start to better tolerance for us who feel "uneasy" (understatement!)in our own skins? (sigh) we can always hope. Anyone else see signs of this?
Hugs!
