Katy aka Katybug in the picture below used to have all black whiskers. It wasn't until a couple of years ago she started getting any of the white ones. She's going to be 11 on March 8th :)

Brittany on the other hand, who lived to be almost 19 last year kept all black whiskers

The point? None that I can tell...OTOH this site needs more pictures of cats!! Speaking of which, I better add one of Linsey or she'll feel left out...

Here, here - can't have too many cats

Though I keep expecting Bonzi to join in since he is black also.

Good thing my favorite movie is Ol' Yeller ;-)

I Kid ... I Kid...

Thing is, I sorta had a dog as a kid. He was a neighbor's dog and we became acquaintances if not friends as I still remember, the last time I saw him, he deliberately blocked my way to make sure I stopped to pet him.

I swear he looked like an African wild dog and he barked at everyone, even me, but thankfully I knew better and he never ever bit me. Poor thing was thrown out of a car window on our street and our neighbor took him in. We spent some time together whenever we were able, usually with the two of us just in companionable silence and me petting him a bit.

Anyway, I figured out why he was so insistent on making me pet him. I am almost positive that he wanted to say goodbye as the very next day, I walked by the dog's house and she was holding a bowl with some food in it and the owner told me he had passed on.

For a lonely kid who had no friends, I will always appreciate the bit of friendship we shared.
