Hey all,
First, Thank you ALL for being here. The last few months have been horrid for me. Many of you have become closer to me than some of my "real" family. When I've needed you, you've been there, and I THANK GOD for each and every one of you, though some more that Others!
Good News: Yesterday I hit FIFTY pounds lost since the first of the year. That means I've lost 25% of the weight I need to before RLT and hormones (THANK YOU GWEN for the tidbit on estrogen making weight loss harder!!)
Today my psychologist told me I can begin hormones any time I want, AND because of some unique circumstances my RLT will only have to be 12 months, maybe a little less!! By spring 2012 I may complete my transition!! OMG what a wonderful piece of news.
My wife has decided to be supportive, at least to the RLT, which I keep telling her is unquestionably gonna happen, but she thinks I'm going through a phase. Yeah, a phase I've been going through since I was 6 years old. I hope and pray she'll come around, but...
I've been offered sanctuary with my favorite cousin whom I've always been close to. She said they have a spare room for me if I need it.
And finally after three months (screw up with my insurance - YECH) I've got my sleep meds back and I'll get a full nights sleep instead of this 2-4 hours nonsense I've been putting up with.
Thank you thank you thank you all
Beth

Weight loss
You may want to talk to your Doc about losing the weight before you start the 'moans. I think it will be easier, but I am not a Doc.

hey great news Beth
hey great news Beth,
i hope things can work out with your wife.
my wife and i have spoken to (and met with) 3 other couples here in australia, and all of us are still married post op.
my wife and i aren't counselors, but are willing to chat with others that want to try and stick together.
so if your wife would like to chat with my wonderful wife, send us a PM and i'll give you her email.
we were on national australian television a few weeks ago as part of a book promotion (a book of 12 couples who had survived unusual circumstances), and hope that by doing so we both make TG issues more normal, and help other couples realise that if you love each other thats all that matters.
Gill and i hit the 15 years married mark this coming April 1st, 8 years since i started transition.
good luck girl
*hugs*
