It's hard to believe, but just over two years ago, I posted my first "segment" of Who Was I. I believe my writing's improved a more than a little bit over the course of that time (though, you don't see this, as you generally only see stuff that have been edited). I pity those editors, but I also really appreciate them.

Life has changed a lot over the two years. Actually writing was a change! I'd not written anything "voluntarily" for over 35 years, prior to Who Was I. My first year here, I was still not telling my family. A bit over year ago, I came out to my wife. Nine months ago, I started HRT & told older kid. six months ago, the second kid and my in-laws & that whole side of the family. Two weeks ago, I came out to my parents. In the past few months, Annette has found some time to get out in public (a little) for the first time in over 20 years. I'm off Blood Pressure meds. I'm losing weight (long way to go still, but at least moving in the right way). With one exception, health wise, I'm doing better than I have in YEARS.

So much to be thankful for. So, I thank those of you who are following my VERY SLOWLY unfolding story Hidden Gifts and those that have read and especially commented on any of my stories. I thank those who have painfully edited my stories. And, most of all, I thank two other authors here - who said my writing was okay, and good enough to share here (though one did make me promise to "finish" any story I start. Hopefully she'll do the same! I really want to see how things happen in several of her stories!). Hmm. Should I name them? Or, let folks guess. Probably guess. That way they don't get any hate mail asking them why they encouraged me.
