It's MY story and I'll tell it how I want to!

Author:

ok, so I am annoyed. the past couple times I've posted a new chapter to Brain Donor, I've had to deal with someone that has sent me private messages negatively critiquing the story. Largely because it doesn't follow what THEY want to see. I'm writing a story about a person that is NOT happy about their new gender, and I'm being told by this person that that's not the story I should be writing. their personal head-canon is that the main character should be thrilled that they are now a 12 year old girl, instead of a 26 year old male.

The Flu sucks.

And because of that, I've not been writing. But I do have plans. Specifically to get Stuck in a Rut to a place to "End of book 1" it.
Also in the plans, more Brain Donor. Honestly, I have been gob-smacked by the amount of praise I've received for that last chapter. I have definite ideas to come, and getting Thomas out and about more is one of them.

A question for my readers.

So... I have a question. I've been having some motivation issues, as far as Stuck in a Rut. I love the story, and I have plans for it... but just haven't been motivated to write in it much.

So I propose to you that read it a choice.

1. I plug on, with chapters irregularly dropped on occasion.

2. I put it on the back burner and release infrequent chapters, while putting out a new story: "The Mysterious occurrence of Missy Hinde"

3. I put it on the back burner and release infrequent chapters, while putting out a new story:: "Right to Life: Brain donor."

plan is to order a hard drive on the first. So... once my data is cloned off the drive I'm borrowing, I plan to pick up with more Stuck in a Rutt.

ah hah!

Solution discovered to the problem with my Windows not updating, it was the hard drive. It's in the early stages of dying. So alas, I can't afford to replace it until September. So no Stuck in a Rut for a while, it seems. I'm on a loaner laptop, so I can still pop in and read my favorite authors, at least.

BAD news.

Author:

ok, so my Windows on this computer hasn't been updating since April. after numerous attempts and tries by a computer knowledgeable friend. We are going with the Nuclear solution. I'm backing up my art and writing files to a Flash drive. He's going to loan me a removable HD to dump my music and stuff to, and then we are nuking the Drive and starting from fresh with a clean install. This means that for the foreseeable future, no Stuck in a Rut. I'm sorry. But we thought it best to nip it in the bud now, after more and more updates get released and it becomes an even greater issue.

Is a picture really worth 1,000 words?

Author:

I was looking through the listings of recent stories the other day, and I saw a picture that to me, at least was very disturbing. Now in all reality the subject matter wasn't overly graphic, but it also at the same time is totally not my thing. so based on the scary picture, I stayed away. I will also admit there have been flashy graphics that have steered me to stories... and some poorly done ones that have made me stay away from the story as well.

I know how the story will end, of course... assuming it's going to end, that is...

But out of curiosity, I wonder what relationship(s) you all are cheering for.
