Thanks to everyone who has been patient with me while I figured out how to put my story in the retcon index. It's repeated in some places now but hopefully that will be sorted out.
Special thank go to Enemyoffun, Maggie Finson, those who gave ideas in the forum.
But most of all I thank Lilith Langtree for her patience and for not getting angry that I messed up her page.
To all the retcon readers I have been trying to get my story into the contents list and will continue to try. please forgive the mistake I have been and will (maybe) make until it's correct.
I will post the new chapters before I'm finished the index as well.
"What Light Through Yonder Shadow" has 3 acts. I've finished two of them at the end of each act I put down the main characters of that act. Act 3 will be shorter and I might put the character list before I start.
I have said that I won't create new characters and I'm not although I am using a guest character with another author's permission.
I have taken a while to do act 3 as I have been unsure how to form the picture into words. Please be patient.
This is the end of act 2. Act 3 is the final act.
I realise the plot for this story is confusing because of the variety of characters. I did not intend it to be. What happened is that the story gave birth to characters without my intending it to.
It probably has 2 or 3 different characters for their own stories. I do believe it is not too confusing.
Everything shall become clearer in part 3.
In many tales here at BCTS people go into great detail after the story why that wouldn't be possible. Now while I sometimes feel it ok to do this (and I have been known to do it as well on occasion). Some stories are picked apart too much. I mean who care if something is legal because of one little thing.
My word, it's only a story.
Don't tear it apart- enjoy it.
I was doing some research for my story and in one part I use the phrase 'bitch in heat'. While looking to see if the phrase makes sense in the story, I came accross this:
This was always intended to be a play on words title in honour to Shakespeare's line, "What light throught yonder window breaks, it is the sun and Juliet is the East."
I recently thought of new directions for the plot and therefore am making it With acts and scenes.
Every scene will be a chapter or installment. Every act will be the beginning and end of a major aspect of the story.
Enjoy!
When I first joined this site, I tried writing fan fiction it didn't go so well. I'm writing a retcon now but don't know if it's being received that well. I hope that it works so everyone enjoys it because I'm really putting a lot into it, listening to other authors and trying to take advice.
I expect my writing to be a little rough around the edges. But I hope it gets readers. And for any of those retconners out there who have trouble with my style, please give me time to learn. advice is always appreciated. Even if I don't follow all of it.
How come whenever a guy magically or through science is transformed to a girl in the stories (all the ones I've read on BCTS) do they automatically have long hair. Surely at least sometimes there should be a natural progression of the growing of hair.
Due to the fact that life is not always smooth, I have begged out of writing "Seeking the Truth". Thankfully Stanman63 has consented to continue this tale.
This is a great relief for me, as the story was getting skewed off course as I deal with my own issues.
Today I went shopping at Target (one of the chain stores in Australia). The thing is that I only recently gave myself the go ahead to crossdress. Even if it has mostly been at home (I live on my own). The only time I went into the city with womens clothes was on halloween, and even then some guy on the train did a double take when seeing me - this sort of freaked me out - I'm really worried about being seen in public.
To all of my readers,
It's come to my attention that the story of Seeking the truth is under the incorrect section and will therefore from now on in be placed under fanfiction.
