Reader’s Choice

As an author, I have more ideas than time to write. I often get inspired and write the first portion of a story only to get stuck because I wrote myself into a corner. Often it takes months or years to complete the story.

I now have about two dozen stories in various stages of completion.

This is where you all can step in. Read the story ideas below and tell me which story you want me to complete.

Has the traffic on BC reduced?

I have noticed that the last several stories I posted are not getting many reviews. Two years ago, it was common to get 20-30 reviews from a post and now it is a struggle to get 5.

The reason I write is primarily an outlet for myself and secondly to support the readers here and the site.

I admit that reviews of my stories help motivate me as I love hearing how what I wrote helped someone, even if it was just to take their mind to a better place for a few hours.

Casey Brooke - offline for a while

Dear friends,

My life is taking a bit of a turn for the better. I was just offered an excellent job but it will mean all those pending stories I have to finish will be further delayed as I move, settle, and orient myself in my new job.

I’m not dead and haven’t found my magic transformation pill yet so I still need to write to keep my brain from screaming at me.

Hope you are all doing well,
Casey

To publish or not - decision made

Thank you all for the fabulous insights. I have decided to post it here first and then if all of you like it I will publish it somewhere I can get a printed copy. Maybe be Doppler Press would be interested? Hint hint.

I am in final edit. I was going to change the location, taking the story outside of Silicon Valley but I think I will leave it as is. The corporation is Googlesque but it is located in Palo Alto instead of Mountain View and the timing is set 9 years from now.

Where has Casey been?

Just thought I would drop everyone a quick note. I am alive and well. It has been a while since I last posted anything. I’ve not been idle. I have a new story that’s about 80% completed and a dozen others 25-50% done. I’m also working on a non-TG tech thriller novel that I hope I can publish and share some of my writing with my family for the first time.

Hope you are all enjoying the summer.

New story hopefully by the end of this week

I just completed my draft of my latest story, The Return of Dragons. Now I’m editing it and hope to post it by the end of the week.

This is a story about a young man that discovers his ancestor was Maeve the Dragon Slayer and that her blood still runs through his veins. When dragons suddenly appear, magic is restored to earth and he finds himself transformed.

Will he, now a she, become a dragon slayer, or will she take a new path?

A Slave of Jupiter - Just published on the site

Just a quick heads-up to any fans I might have out there. I just completed and published a sequel to A Princess of Jupiter. The sequel, called, A Slave of Jupiter, is a bit of an independent sequel in that our old friends Caelen and Aristea are still around, but the story focuses on none other than myself on a journey to Jupiter and all that life on Jupiter entails.

Lots of action, inner reflection, and love.

Now I just have to find a real way of teleporting myself into one of my stories...

Enjoy!

New novel

Having spent the past few months working on a new novel, I’m pleased to announce the release of my latest story, The Synthodyne Conspiracy.

This is my first real attempt at writing a novel-length story for consideration of publishing.

I’d love your feedback and suggestions. Enjoy!
