This has been a painful year so far
Sleep doctor is agian reminding me that my health is in jepordy if I don't use my C-PAP machine when I sleep, but he finally listens when I say I cant sleep with it it either prevents me from going to sleep or wakes me up at night. So he does an X-Ray and goes oh you have a Deviated Septum so All the Air flow is going into one nostril instead of both "He says he I can see where that is most uncomfortable". So he says I need to see a ENT to get it fixed.
Then before I can do that I come down with a bad infection that puts me in bed for 3 weeks
My primary Care Doctor Takes care of that
Then the Day I start feeling better from the infection I am runing to the emergency room with a Sever Stabing Pain In My back with vomiting , A urin Sample with blood but no sing of infection leads them to think a kidney stone Then a CAT scan yep a stone. So 2 does of morphine later I am feeling pain free and so much happier. Then a few days latter off too the Urologist who wants too try and get the stone out with medication first a week of that and then no go, so off to the hospital again for another CAT scan. Thank god I chose the lower Deductible option for medical insurance this year after all that I just maxed out still the bill is painfull. Now the Surgery to Remove the Kidney Stone is did not have to come out of my pocket. then more CAT scans to check success. then complications after surgery Primary Doctor after A nuclear Mecdical Scan thinks it was a Gall Stone. it luckily Passed on its own was only throwing up for 2 weeks while doctors tried to narrow down why with tests then poof its gone. So they tell me a Gall Stone.
Now on to the ENT to Get that Deviated Septum in my nose fixed, I just dont know if my insurance company will try to do something like hang me if I try to get my back pain that comes back every so many years taken care of this year while they are paying the bill as well since it is already acting up, or if they would make me wait till my deductible resets in January.

I had a deviated septom
The surgery was a breeze and the only bad part was pulling out the gauze and tubes and removing the atitches.

On the matter...
When it comes to using an oxygen machine during sleep. I know someone with a similar problem. They cannot use it with the nose. Instead, they small to hole type, and not the mask, and place the opens over their mouth. It seems to work okay. Also, this person found using no moisture on the machine to also help.
Other than that, good luck.
I've got a deviated septum as
I've got a deviated septum as well. My neurologist/sleep doc seems to be ignoring this. Her answer to my craptastic sleep with my cpap is to use my cpap more. I want it fixed, and when I have my appointment with her in a month, I'm asking for it to be fixed.

Some doctors are very hard headed
My Doctor looked at my X-Rays and said that all the air pressure from the machine would be forced into one nostril instead of both so it would be very unconformable. I had to actually switch between 3 different sleep doctors in my area before I found one willing to listen about my problem. It was actually my therapist that pointed me too him said he was a good listen to what the patient had to say.
