Real life or fiction?
Are you looking for a boy that becimes a model in real life? If you're looking for fiction I might recommend my Lashes series or Lilith Langtree's, Knowing Yourself, a very good read. I know there are several others but I can't put my finger on them, Arecee

Alicia Liu Xun Ai
Search for Alicia Liu Xun Ai. She's a model, pop idol and variety show celebrity in Taiwan.
See this gorgeous hottie? She was born with a penis and she didn't like it. It's amazing how many people are so supportive of her.
But if we're talking about fiction, I've read a few, but for the life of me, I can't remember the titles.
"Call me Donna"
The prequel of Liadan Tallie's "David Saga" has the main character entered in a beauty contest. "My Name is David" features the same character as an adult, with her reflecting on that contest.
Boy becoming a model
Have you tried Educating Danielle by Karen E Lea? which was on Crystal's Site

Educating Danielle
That story was one of my favorites. I even pointed my therapist to it when we were discussing what I saw in these stories. I told her the strong element of affirmation and unconditional acceptance was what really made the story work for me. She actually read the whole thing and told me she enjoyed it!

How did you manage to miss it?
It was one of the first stories I came across online. That and "I can't go home like this". Years before I discovered BCTS.
A summer of changes
It is probably not good form to suggest your own story, but the above title on BC meets your criteria.

I don't see why it would be
I don't see why it would be bad form. If the story fits the requested theme, then saying it - whether or not you're the author - would be reasonable.
It's not like you burst in and said "I done writ this story, it reads gud!"
I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.
I agree. And Summer of
I agree. And Summer of Changes is an excellent story.

model
there was a story that I first read here when I join this site. about a family just about down on their luck dad was a dick. mom brought home a app about a modeling job the son took a look at it told his mother he would like to try it out so he could help out with the bills little did he or mom know what he was in for they where looking for a teen age female.
I remember reading it years ago...
For the life of me can't remember story name or author... It was quite good.
Close but not exactly.
One with a boy a bit younger(He is 11 at the start of the first one), one of the "Petticoat Detective" stories come to mind, "Sabotage at the Fashion Show". it is number 5 in a series of 6, only the first 2 are posted here at BC.
Here is a link for all 6 http://www.julijana.ru/stories/english/petticoat/
These are bit different then the more typical boy wears dress stories. The boy does not want to be a girl and no one wants to turn him into one permanently, but circumstance keep putting him in a dress for adventures in order to solve little mysteries/problems. These are sort of like "Nancy Drew" with a boy pretending to be a girl.
There's also Making Lemonade
There's also Making Lemonade by L. Rochelle. It's incomplete (not been added to in a while), but an excellent story. The first 15 chapters are on Sapphire's Place.

Have you looked at any of Paula _D's stories here?
Several would fit your description well.
At least one is a self discovery tale, IE she learns that she wants to become as real a woman as she can.
At least one, one of her older stories is a case where due to a terrible injury incured while coming to the aid of a girl being raped she is castrated and undergoes SRS... eventually beoming happy with her life.
Have fun.
