A good number of my stories are inspired whilst travelling be it for work(which I do a lot of) or for Pleasure.
I'm going to the US for the last two weeks in May/first week June for my holidays this year flying in/out of Denver.
The main reason is to do some Landscape and Nature Photography in the Rockies but I hope to get to places like White Sands (NM), Monument Valley, a few canyons and even some Ghost Towns.
I also plan to have a trip on the Durango-Silverton RR and also to some Lineside photography.
some nice secenery may well get the inspiration going.
how do other BC writers get inspired?

Ah, Ghost Towns!
Will you bring me back some quality spirits? = )
I get inspired in the bath
I often wish I had waterproof writing materials ...
Oh I wish
That I had a bath that I could get comfortable in.
When I was a Student I lived in a place in Stamford Hill, North London. The bath was huge. I'm 6ft 2in tall and could float easily. Those were the days.
The modern shaped water saving baths are far too narrow and short for my liking.

Travels taking their toll
I've just returned from a business trip to Kolkata. I went less than 48 hours after I returned from the Rockies. My aging body has raised the white flag temprarily. Despite travelling Business Class I'm knackered. Jet Airways is ok. The service is great but the seats in Business Class are frankly rock hard. Soviet Railways 3rd class seats were about as hard. The lie flat beds are really not suitable for anyone more than ssy 5ft 10in. The BA seats/beds are far more comfortable.
Kolkata was opressively hot and humid. Thunderstorms each evening until Wednesday when the Monsoon broke. Then the place was a lot more bearable.
I am nearly done with the final part of 'Out of the Ashes'. It is taking a lot longer than I'd hoped to get it right but I won't post it until it is done. The ending id done but I'm trying to tie up the loose ends properly and that is not working out to be easy.
