Hello everyone and Happy Holidays with a Merry Christmas to all who wants one! For the first time since I've been here at BCTS I'm not entering the Christmas Contest. Too much real life and I had other stories that my muse demanded I work on. Unfortunately none of those had three wise-men in them.
The kinda Sorta Christmas story I just put up, does have three aliens bearing gifts, but that was more an after thought and doesn't really qualify, to me at least.
I am planning another story, perhaps two to finish this story line. I'm hoping for one, but more and more it's looking like like it might be two.
Of course the next decent holiday that's coming up is Valentines and after that Easter. Both of those can fit into kind of darker tale this has turned into.
It's an Alien Invasion! What do you expect! :)

For Quite A Lot of People it Probably Seems Like It
The last Christmas, The End of their world... A lot of people, far too many, in the South of England and in the NW of Scotland, have been hit by floods and storm damage. A lot of people in Gatwick Airport who were looking forward to a Christmas Break are spending the night on the floor of the airport - a generator was flooded and all electrical power cut the North bit off so no planes could take off or land, everything in the airport was shut down and it was a nightmare for them all.
Going further afield, I doubt whether the poor sods in Syria are having much fun - sure, I know they don't celebrate it anyway but that is no reason for them to be shot at, bombed, and bullied by gangs of men with guns who seem to be totally out of control and lacking in any humanity whatsoever.
Then there are the poor bods in South Sudan, where the head honcho and his deptuy fell out with one another and now both have armed men shooting at each other and at the civilians that can't get out of the way - Merry Xmas to both sides and even more to the ones who just find themselves in the way and want to be out of it !
Makes my minor irritation seem unimportant - there must be a BBC radio transmitter mast that has been blown over or something - anything is possible, as when I popped out for some last minute shopping yesterday afternoon during a minor reduction in the force of the wind I was almost blown over ! I cannot get anything on my radio except a French station and a Spanish one. ( Non habla Espanol, & je ne parle pas francais, moins un plus petit pas!) The wind is being noisy again so I could not sleep so got up and decided to see what was new on BCTS. At Last, something I CAN rely
on !

I drove over to pick my Mother up yesterday and the Rivar Arun was almost as high as I've ever seen it. i.e. about to cover the A281. Further up the road at the summit level of the Wey and Arun Canal the road was well covered to a depth of about 6in. We've had 6.5in of rain in the past two weeks. The already sodden ground can't take much more and another big storm is on it's way from the USofA for Friday. Thanks guys.
