There is quite the balancing act going on with my new post: Unreachable. It seems that there are some who are really enjoying the story and I wish I could just throw it all up at once, but it really is too long (180k+ words). Add on top of that that I'm selling it on Amazon and it leaves me in a bit of a lurch. Of course I want to sell books, it helps with the bills, but I also like sharing my creations as well. I also like reviews and comments and kudos in abundance.

This writing life sure is interesting. In the beginning all I wanted to do was write a story. It was a decent story that got cut short because my computer crashed. Now I am worried about messages and goals and marketing. What started out as a quaint little hobby is slowly becoming a career. I don't mind, it was a childhood dream of mine. But the balancing act is enough to make you crazy. I long decided I wouldn't leave BC out when I published. I think I owe that to Joyce. My writing wouldn't be where it is today without this site, so I'm paying it back.

Also, while I'm at it. I have a fan page on Facebook... you can get there here... https://www.facebook.com/KTLBooks with as many people who enjoy my writing here, I should be able to get 100 likes (you can then chose not to see me in your feed if you keep things secret).

I am working on a Christmas story now as well. Talk about balancing. It used to be about telling a story, now it's about messages. What message is my story sending? What am I trying to accomplish? I guess the more you grow, the more complicated things become. After this story I will take the rest of the year off to read. I got a lot of catching up to do.
