The BBC has revealed that 216 cinemas in the UK will be screening the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special, The Day Of The Doctor. The official press release confirms that Cineworld, VUE, Odeon, BFI and Picturehouse cinemas have signed up to screen the 3D special, and tickets will be on sale from this Friday, October 25th, at 9am.
Furthermore, cinemas in Germany, Russia, America and Canada are going to be screening the 75 minute episode episode. In all, 400 cinemas in eight countries will be screening the special

Both yay and boo for me.
Both yay and boo for me. Yay that it's being screened but boo that it's all in 3D. I guess I'll have to wait for boring old non-nausea inducing 2D on the tv. Pity I'd have loved to have seen the special on the big screen. :-(

to watch it. I saw the original Dr. Who live in Britain while my Dad was stationed in Lakenheath, and liked the series ever since.
