I'm a supporter Sky Pro Cycling, Wiggins, Froome, Richy Port, et al, at least for the last 2 years.
Recently, I was shopping at Costco, a big lots, members only store and thought I'd check out the booze. I saw a bottle of Sky Vodka and bought it thinking of the cycling team. When I got it home, I read the fine print; it is marketed by Skyy Spirits of San Francisco, CA and bottled by Rare Breed Distilling from somewhere in Kentucky. I kinda doubt it has any connection with Sky Cycling.
What's worse is that it tastes sort of good, warm, straight, 80 proof. I can tolerate about a 1/4 teaspoon, about 1.2 cc of that concentration alcohol except for ridiculously expensive single malt Scotch. I normally have one drink every 2 to 4 weeks. Mixed drinks with this stuff (always a tall glass of fruit juice, say 7" and 3/8 to 1/2 inch of vodka) also taste better. My problem is if it tastes better, I might drink more. I mainly use alcohol as a muscle, joint and brain relaxer after working hard or a long bike ride. I don't think I drink enough to screw-up my anti-depressants, I just don't need the extra calories!

Calories from alcohol are offset by the calories from food not consumed. My drinking varies considerably. If I have it in the house I will consume it but most of the time I don't have it in the house.
If you drink absinthe (the genuine stuff, not what passes for absinthe in the US) then most likely you won't need antidepressants. But if you can get the absinthe then make sure you withdraw from the antidepressants as the doctor prescribes. A bottle of absinthe over two weeks repeated four times a day keeps the black dog in it's kennel. This has zero effect on my weight.
Sometimes I drink a pot still brandy but that tends to be consumed quickly, a bottle in three days, which does affect my weight a little if I do it non-stop for a month or so but the weight corrects itself when I stop. I am actually surprised that I am not an alcoholic but I can take it or leave it an have never bothered to out just to purchase alcohol. I have never understood what all the fuss was about. My mother who was very anti alcohol has watched me consume large quantities but at the same time claimed never to have seen me drunk.
So really you are worrying overmuch about the calories and absinthe or sage contain the same active constituent, a GABA related compound, which seems to beat the pants off anything prescribed for depression today.
I don't give medical advice other than to suggest you find a doctor with an open mind, do some research, present it to the doctor and see what he says.

I rarely drink at all, perhaps about one pint of beer a year and a couple of glasses of wine at Christmas. After cycling, I guzzle about a pint of milk.
