I think it's worth reminding people that there are some cracking stories on this site in the archives, both stand alones and serials. So do feel free to browse, but remember to give the authors a Kudo or a comment or both.
One serial I've been re reading, which I enjoyed first time round is an introductory stand alone and subsequent serial by Jenny Brock, http://bigclosetr.us/topshelf/book/6120/stephanies-deal. I'm really enjoying it again and highly recommend it as funny and insightful and just a feel-good story.
If you haven't read it, do try Nancy Patterson's cris-crossed Christmas pageant first, then enjoy Stephanie's deal.

I heard that someone wrote a short story about a woman in the UK who allows dormice to sleep in her bra. For some reason I can not remember the name of the story or the author :)
