She's a Man

I says she is is a man, if she still chooses to be one.
Being a male is all she ever knew, and good on HIM if HE choose to continue being the person he has been for 2/3 of a century.

And if the the Hong-Kong resident is more comfortable in the role of a man, which all his friends and family know him as then that is okay in my book.

I mean would you which to force some one to realign their life or mandate a transition of sex on one new finding if it is not needed?
We almost all have a reason to be here, and most of us in majority can agree gender is a thing of the mind and how we see and feel about ourselves.
So, SHE is a HE! And a stronger/braver man for it.

I agree - he's no different in most ways

than any of us in that we grew up believing; rather we grew up knowing we were female or male while living in a body contrary to our gender identification. He's one up, since everyone else has always accepted him as male.

I also agree

I have heard it said there is a difference between gender and sex that most people do not realize, and thus confuse the two, making it even more difficult for them to even begin to understand what we transgendered people are going through. I include those who are either in the process of transitioning or have already transitioned as far as they desire. Wherever we get off the train, all of us (well, most of us anyway) have experienced that reaction.

That difference is this: Gender is between the ears, and sex is between the legs, even with Gaby (you do read the Gaby stories don't you?) who at this time in the story postings has discovered that Gaby is a really a fully functioning female, and is having problems with accepting that fact as she has considered herself a male all her life, as are the main characters in some other stories - Jessica in the Jessica series (as in Jessica's Journey), and Megan (the Sarah Carrera stories for example), and Cathy of the Bike Series (who is NOT a fully functioning male but after 2000+ almost daily episodes is apparently a female to all who meet her, even to those who are reading this excellent epic).

Whether or not this is true doesn't matter. It seems true to me, as my sex is between my legs, and it doesn't change even when I choose to present my gender as female rather than male.

This brings up another point for future discussion if someone chooses to bring it up: What about transsexuals who have undergone gender re-assignment surgery? Now their apparent sex matches their gender, but chromosomal wise, they have not changed their sex. I have a few friends who have undergone the surgery (or surgeries as the case may be) and none of them have any regrets having done what they did. They consider themselves as women, or men, depending on which way they went.

So what about this aforementioned point? As a transsexual, do you think it is worth a friendly discussion of "Gender is between the ears, and sex is between the legs", as your apparent sex now agrees with you gender? It doesn't matter to me if this is ever discussed here, and this site may indeed not be the proper place to discuss such a matter, but it possibly could be a topic worthy of discussion somewhere.
