Once again I finished a short series and I've fallen off the edge of the earth, or so it would seem. But I am still around, reading blogs, sending random comments, writing the occasional tidbit to make sure people don't forget about me.

I figured now is as good a time as any to update people on my life and current work.

Felix is moving in and I'm starting a new chapter of my life personally. We are talking engagement because I want a tan line around my ring finger. A wedding would be some time off as I refuse to be a fat bride. I was thinking of doing one of those kickstarters to by myself a precor e546 elliptical machine so I can drop tonnage(It's the only machine that has a long smooth stride that I can use and still be able to walk).

The cat still can't move its back legs. I am at my wits end on that one and don't know if I have the heart to put her down. Two big issues. One, she can't scratch her ears and looks like that bothers her. Two, she can't use the litter box any more and the messes really smell. I'm still doing research. She loves being on the bed and has this thing for hiding under covers.

Now on with writing:

I started my next MAJOR novel. This one is currently titled THE UNREACHABLE. It is about a middle school teacher who dreads a particularly bad student into her classroom. He is rude, defiant, and obnoxious and challenges her on every point. No matter what she attempts to do, she can't break through until she really tries and discovers the child's entire life is a charade, the anger, the arrogance, the violence are all tools the child use to hide a secret that he is afraid the world will use to destroy him. When the teacher confronts him about his secret will he be able to pull his life out of the tailspin?

I'm looking forward to completing it. It took me 30k words just to get to the point where I introduce the title character.

In the meantime, you can follow my other work on Amazon Katie Leone On Kindle if nothing else, be sure to like me as an author (the song is about me)

Katie all I can say is get

Katie all I can say is get your cat checked out asap, my family had a lovely cat called Bow he was black n white. One day his back legs went and he was unable to walk and he just got worse, he became blind and became incontinent. We found out he had cat leukemia there was nothing we could to but watch as his conditioned worsened.

By the end he was in a lot of discomfort and pain, I wish we had put him to sleep as it was painful to watch such a lovely pet wither. I'm not saying your cat has the same thing but you should get it checked by a vet, if it turns out to be a similar illness while it would be painful to you it would be better to save it suffering.

I hope you find it's something that can be treated.

Big hugs

Lizzie :)

Hi Katie. LOVE your stories.

Hi Katie. LOVE your stories. They are well written and easy to read.
Sorry to read about your beloved cat. Something very similar happened to ours, and the vet told us that she had a blockage in the spine causing the paralysis in the back area. They could operate (at a huge cost) with no guarantee that it wouldn't happen again. My daughter very teatfully said goodbye to Lilly. Nover forgotten, but photos make great memories.
Hope this helps.

Katie, I saw two tomcats

scrapping, leaving one unable to walk until the spinal injury healed. After about a day, he was back to walking with no injury a week later. There might be a bone spur pressing on the nerves.
