My poor cat Madeline. Over the past week she has gotten worse. It started with a reluctance to jump and moved to a limp. It is now where she can't move her rear legs. I'm at the vet and very worried. I love my cats but money is tight.i shelled out to fix the van so savings is down. If you pray, please pray for my kitty

Lord, please heal Madeline

for Katie Leone. She loves her feline friend and is worried about her. We ask that the vet will prescribe a simple cure for Madeline. AMEN

A good vet will tell you when to let the cat go.

Could be just a displaced/dislocated hip or other easily treaded injury, if you have the funds.

Could be a sign of a stroke.

Is your cat old?

One of our two 18plus year old Humane Society *specials* is on a cheap - 20 plus bucks every two to three months -- of a special formulation of aspirin. Cats can take aspirin in VERY small doses as prescribed by a vet -- because she has a heart mummer that increases her risk of a stroke. Her dose is something like 1/3rd or 1/4 per pound of body weight of what a 150 pound human would take.

So at six pounds vs 150 pounds AND give their far greater reaction to aspirin per pound it's something like a small fraction of a child's aspirin in a stabilizing solution that lasts several months and dozens of dosages.

In cats a stroke often first affects the tail and hindquarters, This is often devastating and likely means then need to be euthanized.

I hope it it easily treated but in any case, beyond your finances, it all comes to quality of life.

As long as the cat has a satisfactory quality of life, a reasonable chance of recovery, fine, But if they are suffering with no hope ahead, no expectations of better times, do the kind thing.

We did it for several cats. Cried for 20 minutes the last time.

He purred in my arms as the vet...

Now I'm crying again.

So sorry for you and your friend.
