That Is A Tough Bunch
Of hoops they have you jump thru in the UK. I doubt that they make one go full time without HRT in the rest of Europe, but I don't know.
In the US, the "standards of care" require 3 months with a therapist before getting HRT. One year of living full time before surgery to be started whenever, but both of those standards are not always adhered to. I started living full time before HRT because I passed OK and couldn't stand being treated as a male any longer; I had, however grown my hair long enough to pass by about 8 months previous. All my friends, however, started HRT 1st. A good friend and mentor of mine waited until she "didn't need any padding" (I think she meant other than a little on her breasts) before she went full time.
OTOH, I guess if you want the NHS to pay for your T and Dr. visits, you have to do it their way.
Hugs and Bright Blessings,
Renee
Saying this over and over.
It gets tiresome to meet people who have transitioned who still refer to themselves as transgender.
This transition thing can be like your worst day in combat! Get a mantra going, "I am woman". Fuck this I am a poor little tranny girl and everyone beats up on me. Don't be an exhibitionist, just be a woman. Don't wear too much make up. Dress modestly not eccentric.
I do not want to be seen as a sexy chick. If you come on to men, when they find out they are going to thump the hell out of you. Just be good, honest decent, helpful, and caring.
They'll overlook a lot if you do that.
