Feeling down... my mother passed away on Monday. She caught whatever is going round on the previous Monday and I called an ambulance on Monday morning because her breathing was awful. The doctor spoke to her on Sunday and said she just had a cold. She was admitted to hospital at 9.30 am and was dead by 7.20pm. Pneumonia and septic shock leading to Cardiac arrest.
I often wonder why doctors call it a practice... I suppose it's because they've yet to get it right!
So, now I have to arrange the funeral and take care of my 87 year old dad. My mum was 88 on the 21st December.

My sincere condolences Tanya
Loss of a parent hurts... for what it's worth, please draw strength from me if you wish.
Diana
I'm so sorry.
That has to hurt a lot given how fast it happened. My dad has leukemia so at least I'm somewhat prepared for the eventual outcome.
My condolences, and you'll be in my thoughts.

I am here if you need me and will help you however I can.
I am really at a loss for words to say :(
Just hang onto all the good memories you had with her and cherish them.
I know she loved you and still does, looking down upon you from above.
PM me please if you need to talk and I will call you.

I am so sorry for your loss.
You and your loved ones are in my prayers.
Love, Andrea Lena
sorry to hear.
My dad declined over 5 years, my partners declined over the month after he was diagnosed with cancer in the brain, and her mother, sadly had a stroke (while we were with her) and lived 30 days unable to eat, speak or communicate in any way (which from long discussions with her was exactly what she called hell).
As hard as it is, be consoled that she didn't suffer long, as watching a prolonged departure is extremely painfull for those that love them.
*hugs*

I'm very sorry to hear about it.
I have, not so long ago, lost my father, and I still feel his absence.
Just know that she is in a better place, without pain and tears.
My condolences
Please receive my deepest condolences for your loss. And may you receive the necesary strength to handle the next few days and weeks.

Thanks to you all for your care and love
...without it, and the support of family and friends, I'd feel lost. But I know that she is now free of pain and all the frustrations that she experienced.
Thanks again.

belated condolences Tanya
Hearing of your parent's death reminded me my father, though mostly healthy IS 85, nearing 86 so someday it will be his turn to join my mother in the grave.
If he is like his parents that will be in another 10 years or so but still it WILL happen.
I do not think I can express the pain you must be feeling but then who can truly know another?
You will survive. You will go on.
Perhaps adapt a bit of her life into a story you are writing.
Many of the things I have written are loosely based on real events and people twisted thought the bizarre world that is my imagination.
Perhaps that can be your legacy to her, a story dedicated to her or based on her in some manner?
Best wishes.

Tanya,
My sympathies and prayers are with you and your family.

Oh Tanya, I feel so.....
Bad for you, for I know the feelings of a loss like this all to well. I lost my momma almost two years ago almost as quickly. It hurts, but you'll get through it. I fear the hard part for you now will be caring for your Daddy now. I certainly hope you have help with this, because being a primary care giver is so hard for just one person (bin there, done that, so hard). Many many Hugs, Prayers, and of course my condolences, Taarpa

I Am So Sorry
Tanya:
I almost feel as if I know you in some way as I have read all your books. Of course I don't but I have lost both of my parents so maybe I know something of what you feel. I wont tell you to feel better, rather cherish all the good memories. Maybe make a scrapbook or slide show some other momento and look at it when you feel strong enough. Also of course seek refuge in your canine companions. They know what you are going through. As well as all empathetic humans in your universe. Again I am so sorry for your loss.
Hugs and best wishes, Kristi Lynne

Once more, i thank you for taking the time to share. I do feel better now, as, well, I suppose it was her time. She was 88 and had a good innings. She was finding everything so tough and painful recently, it was a blessing, in a way, that she went so quietly and quickly. Leave us with a hole, but I feel she is now free of pain and somewhere she wanted to be for the last two years or so.

Thinking of You
Hi Tanya
I have only just heard of your loss today and am truly sorry not to have expressed my condolences earlier.
Not sure what I can write to an author (who's stock in trade are words after all) on the loss of someone so dear.
Please just know that my thoughts are with and your family at this sad time.
With my Sympathies.
Best
Angie
