I like to thank all of the authors here, for their amazing skill, and time. Some of you are simply brilliant and easily could be publishing non TG stories and making money for your effort. I am glad you have taken the time to write and publish here. You all have touch my life, good or bad. There are insights so close to my own life that I find in many stories, by many different authors. The entertainment is priceless, as are your wonderful characters and adventures.
Everyone who has written and publish here should be applauded. Bravo to all of you.

I know that many authors have ask for our comments. I like you all to know I do not write many comments but I always give my kudos. You should not be offended that someone like myself does not appreciate or like your work. I once made a mistake of saying something and the author got upset. I only FYI someone and got a nasty reply. I learn never to do that again.

I read the comments that are written after most pieces. I have fallen in love with a story and where the author seem to be going. I then found the author being steered by the collective because of comments. I have watched a great story head a different direction of where their creativity was seemingly leading them.

Everyone writing here has taken a risk, but your work is more than appreciated. We all realize that most ideas have been written, but you all have found a new way to express even the same idea from so many different angles. Hugs Jackie Anna

Please excuse any grammatical mistakes. I am just a fan and another lost soul finding herself, hopefully.

Comments

Thank you

If it weren't for the loyal fans who read, we would only be writing for ourselves. I agree with what you said about being steered by comments. It's rather difficult when you know the entire story, and the ultimate purpose behind your writing. You know the plot twists, how the characters will develop, how they will overcome adversity. Then you have someone crying out how you can do something like that to your character. "Relax, I know my plans for them, don't walk out in the middle of the movie." It takes restraint to move in the direction you designed and tell the story according to your will. None the less, I enjoy hearing from people one way or another, as well as interacting with them. Not sure if you have read any of my stuff, but I appreciate you supporting the community as a whole. We love having you here.

Mega Hugs,
Megan

People say, "You don't know what you had until it's gone." Very true, but also equally true is, "You don't know what you've been missing until is arrives."

Hi Jackie Anna!

I to am just a Reader. I really think though you should make the effort to leave comments of support when ever possible. If there's something about a story thats not appropriate to say in public comments then send a private message to the auther direct. Most will appreciate the feed back. I feel the least we can do here as readers is to take the time to leave feedback, whether it be public or private. The other thing we can do here is to support this site with donations to the hatbox (upper right corner). If nothing else that's most important to keep the site alive and well. (Hugs) Taarpa

thanks

Thank you for your reply. I do both. I send only private comments now. I also donate to hatbox, and need to do more there. hugs jackie Anna

writing

At the moment I do not consider myself a writer or author, I'm not nearly good enough to claim such, I do however keep plugging away at it. Learning as I go so comments do help me with putting out the next piece.

Comments about comments

Your comments on comments are very close to my own thoughts. On my latest story, I have turned off public comments, feeling that this is my story, and no one else has the right to add their own thoughts to it. Of course, people are welcome to PM me, and a few do so, but I really don't need advice on what I should have done with it or where it should go.

I know my writing is different to the kind of stories that many like here, but it's MY writing and no one else's. If anyone has better ideas than mine on how a story should go, then let them write their own story.

Thanks, Jackie Anna!

It is always a pleasure to know how much you enjoy the stories posted here.

I Second That

I am another reader who has found many interesting stories that entertain and are thought provoking as well. Bravo some more.

On the topic of comments, I've always thought they were a way for readers to acknowledge a good story or to provide encouragement to the author. I've noticed a few times where readers have tried to guess or suggest where the story might be heading, but I always thought that was a way for fans to show their enthusiasm for the story, rather than a demand that the author write it a certain way. I personally have a problem with people putting vanity pics in comments about other people's stories. It really detracts from the authors efforts in my opinion.

Some times I have finished reading a story and all I can think is 'wow'. How can little ol' me string two coherent words together to make a comment about such a good story. I'm not worthy.

Another little annoyance is authors who are too modest. (Tels, I'm looking at you, and others). I recently read an epic story that I enjoyed immensely and when the author put a comment on the end to the effect that she was "only an amateur". I really wanted to tell her not to be so silly. The stories on this site, for me, have a few purposes; to entertain, to share experiences, to make the reader think, to educate. In my (limited) experience, telling some people that gender is not about what's between ones legs is like telling a blind person about the colour orange. There are some stories on this site that manage to achieve that.

Bravo to all the wonderful authors, and thanks to the admins for making it all possible.

Wow thanks for mentioning them Kiwi. A major thanks to Erin and others that keep this site going. Thanks to all of you who donate to hatbox too.

We are lucky to have a few active sites out there for TG fiction. Do any of you remember when fictionmania went down. It look like we almost lost many great works. It takes money and time to keep these sites up. I know we readers appreciate this along with the authors. hugs Jackie Anna
