Every once in a while quotation marks and apostrophes seem to do this to stories. I was just curious as to why this happens. Sometimes, it gets cured. This is from the latest episode of Bike.
"á¢â‚¬Å“I thought that was only when I did the cookingá¢â‚¬”talking of which itá¢â‚¬â„¢s Davidá¢â‚¬â„¢s day off, so I suppose I suppose Iá¢â‚¬â„¢d better see whatá¢â‚¬â„¢s in the fridge.á¢â‚¬ " This was from the latest episode of bike.
It's fixed now. Just wondering. That's all.

I did it
I unpubbed it and sent the link to Erin to evaluate. I couldn't make heads or tails of it so wasn't sure if it was a spam (not from you but sometimes spammers get in and post crap as real users).
Maybe because I'm not a Bike reader I didn't understand the reference or what you were attempting to say.
I apologize if it upset you, again it wasn't deleted, just asked Erin to take a look at it.
Actually this blog makes your point/question a lot better to be honest.

Those funky characters are what a lot of browsers make out of Microsoft smart quote characters. This was cut and paste from Word. Harmless but annoying. :)
