I remember seeing Phyllis Diller on TV as a kid and sure, I may not have understood a lot of her jokes when I was seven or even ten, but that woman was funny. Recently watched the first season of the Muppet's and she was on it. Very funny and a very interesting dresser.

The End of an Era
All the almost old time comics are dead 1 or 2 left. She was a very funny lady and Roseann took over her style. She opened the door for a few others as well.
Oh no
First Minnie Pearl, Now Phyllis Diller - my style gurus are passing on! My mom would say that Omar the tentmaker's business is on it's last legs. Until the Kardashian girls get a little older that is.

Diller, the ability to laugh at oneself
Phyllis Diller represents an era when humor was not putting someone else down. She could laugh at herself. I liked her is doses. She had a laugh that was unique, she wasn't a copy of someone else and after she was God broke the mold.
I laugh because even I had a chance to look as nice as her, but there was more to her than appearance. She had a wit and intelligence that belied her demeanor. Everyone should be missed, she is one who will be.

Just one of her quotes....
It’s true Fang and I fight, but we’ve never gone to bed mad. Of course, one year we were up for three months.

i think her
Humor is something I picked up on. When I was younger I always made myself the butt of my jokes not others.
