I guess it is unlikely but does anyone know any social venues for people like us in or near Melbourne Australia? Google is not being helpful to me. Maybe because my idea of search terms never matches anyone else's terms. I'm so sick of being alone.

Hi, while I'm located in the USA, I ran a query for support groups in Melbourne and came back with several.

http://www.vicgender.com/
They say they are a “Diverse Peer Support Group in Melbourne and Regional Victoria”.

http://www.ausgender.com/
“Transgender and Transsexual support Group” based in Melbourne.

The search I ran was “transgender support groups in Melbourne, Australia”
There were other responses as well. Try running it and see what you get.

Anyway, they may have more information such as that for which you are looking.
