I may be wrong about this, but it seems to me if I comment on a story before voting that I am unable to leave kudos. If I vote first, then of course leaving kudos is not a problem. Has anyone else noticed this? The reason I'm saying this is that I just received a very nice comment about a recent story; however, the kudos count hasn't changed. I can't imagine getting such a nice comment without getting kudos.

That's not how it works, voting and commenting are handled by two separate modules that have nothing much to do with each other.

I have had to same thing happen, I was either had made a comment or had hit add to fav and realize I had not hit the GOOD button and the system would not accept it. Richard

i had the same happening. after commenting there's at least no "thanks for your kudo" message.

I just left 2 comments for Paula Dillion.
So, I will tell you some time people forget to do them together. I almost did, so it does happen from time to time.
The second and more major issue is the not being able to do it, and I can thanks to the the above action of kudoing her stories, that one page accepted the "good story" and the other did not. But, I seemed to fix it self on the switching of pages in a multi-part story. So, if you leave the story or switch pages and come back it seems to work.
My thought is is the server that hosts this site get busy for a second processing other information, so you just some time need to refresh the paging cache (ie reload page, again). If you have other problem talk to or message our kind webmistresses.
