My ex and I went to see this today. It's based at Claverton Manor just on the outskirts of Bath and literally down the road from the University of Bath - and the RSPCA dog and cat's home.

It's a lovely old house which houses the museum collection, and the most outstanding aspect is the collection of quilting, some of which are awesome and must have taken years to make. I was disappointed that they didn't have more Audobon prints but I suppose they have to change things around every so often.

The guides were quite knowledgeable and friendly but none were American, they were all locals. The walk from the bus stop was longer than we anticipated, being over half a mile and down a steep hill, which we then had to ascend to catch the bus back to the city centre, and it did nothing for arthritic knees and hips.

It was a different day out, I doubt I'll ever go there again as it isn't really my thing, though the display of Amerindian flint arrowheads was interesting, unlike the guns and swords next to them. Still, I promised I'd go with my ex, yonks ago and today we finally got there.
